Oh, Canada
More stuff you learn while Flickr Blogging: The Kids in the Hall have a new eight-part comedic murder mystery show currently running on CBC.
And apparently, we deprived non-Canadians can watch episodes online.
And, judging from a peek at the list of characters, it sounds like the KitH have not lost their edge:
- Death (McKinney) is in town “on business”, and not sure how long he’ll be in Shuckton. He collects souls in powder form, cuts them into lines, and snorts them. After claiming the mayor’s soul his next target is Ricky — however, while most of the souls he's to collect are assigned to him, he appears to have a personal vendetta against Ricky. When off duty, he hangs out at the local tavern, drinking owl's blood and hoping to pick up voluptuous redheaded women.
- Dr. Porterhouse (Foley) is the kindly town abortionist. He offers patients a free kitten with every procedure. His methods appear to be quite odd, using odd tools and methods, but appears to be quite accurate with figuring out the details of a conception.
