Daily Random Flickr Blogging, #4267

I guess some people like this kind of stuff, but I for one would have a hard time feeling a sense of reverence in a church that out-glitzes the Liberace Museum.

This kind of stuff really brings out the iconoclast in me...

One of my favorite moments while visiting the Vatican was finding a sign inside St. Peter's Basilica that said (in Italian) that the renovation of that one particular corner of the basilica was "sponsored by the Italian Lotto."

I don't know why I found that so very amusing, but I did and still do.

Hey, the Liberace Museum is the best thing in Vegas.

Now if only what happened in the Vatican stayed in the Vatican....
